Earning an MBA while working full-time is a challenge that requires careful consideration of how you spend your time. Add family to the equation, and the problem becomes much harder to solve. If your cohort does not already have its own Facebook group, take the initiative to create one. You’ll find that it is a great way to reach out to your classmates and receive a quick response. Whether you forgot a detail about your next assignment, can’t find a handout, or simply need to alert the team that you are running late, posting on the group’s wall gives you instant access to classmates. When used as a forum-like platform, Facebook cohort groups can offer time savings in connecting with one of your most valuable resources: classmates.
4. Consider Outsourcing Housekeeping
For many working adults, particularly those with families, house chores like laundry and cleaning can take up a lot of time. If you find yourself in this category, consider the possibility of outsourcing some of these responsibilities. This weekly or bi-weekly investment can free up time you can spend studying or with your family.
5. Spend an Extra Hour at Work
Finding a few hours of uninterrupted time to focus on your studies is particularly challenging if you have a family. That’s why it’s important to make use of small pockets of time with regularity. One way to do that is by staying an extra hour at work every day — or on days on which your schedule permits —to work on your assignments.
